Whiplash is simply that a small move at the end of a line can cause a much larger movement at the end. If Gwen didn't die on impact with the ground, science shows up whiplash would have snapped her neck. She actually had a higher chance of survival by hitting the ground than if Peter's web had caught her. As one of the smartest kids in his universe, he should have realized that. Also so many problems with him saving people seem like a proper knowledge of science and cause and effect would have made the job easier.

I have no response other than to say this is such an awesome question. I want the reality to remain shrouded in mystery like the fridge light.
I'm smart enough to not get quite selective and then question the validity of just certain aspects of FICTION AND FANTASY...
I just enjoy it as fiction and fantasy, I cooperate rather than resist...
I know it's false, but he performed as n action, that, if successful, would have killed Gwen. It seems like someone with his heightened reflexes and skills along with above average intelligence would know it's not a good idea.
everyone has a bad day...
being incredibly smart does not mean you're free of errors and miscalculations, you can still judge wrong and very wrong, which is a wrong from the start why judge when you could make sure
there's also emotional intelligence as well, isn't he basically a teen? and isn't he in love and infatuated and conflicted with everyone in his life?
He's a teen, but I don't know that much about the conflict in his life.
isn't his best friend also the villain? and also love triangle rival or something?
isn't the aunt or grandma always targeted and shit
doesn't everyone hate him and stuff as the bad guy or bad press or something? lol
how would that not be conflicting for a teen dude
Not in the one where Gwen falls to her death
who is Gwen
His girlfriend before MJ who died
two love interests die... and he's not conflicted, yikes...
I don't think MJ died.
If Superman caught someone falling vertically while he’s flying horizontally, that would most likely greatly damage someone, but that kind of thing happens all the time in superhero stories
For the most part, science exists in the Spiderman world. Superman has the power to reverse the rotation of the earth, which apparently reverses time. Both are impossible regardless of near-future scientific advancements.
There’s literally magic in the Marvel Universe, so I don’t really see any difference
