What 2023 movies are you looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to seeing the new Willy Wonka, Super Mario Brothers, The Little Mermaid, the Barbie movie, and Cocaine Bear 💀

Outside of Cocaine Bear (whatever that is), those are also all remakes, or movies that'd've had other versions before. I don't really watch TV anymore and I'm not in the social media community, so I don't really know any movies that're coming out, but geeze- is Hollywood THAT creatively bankrupt? I mean, what's next? Are they finally going to make Bill & Ted 3? Or a Jem and the Holograms movie? Or maybe Disney will decide the adapt the Gummi Bears or Gargoyles into something "live-action".

I'll give the Super Mario people credit, though; the usual strategy is to take a well-loved and respected movie and remake it, which always ends badly (except for Scarface), because the new version is never as good, and people are just comparing it to the old movie they loved. The old Super Mario Brothers movie sucked, so any comparisons are almost certainly going to be positive- but then, that's what I thought when they decided to remake Death Race 2000, which was also a bad movie, and the remake took out all of the silly, campy, charm and replaced it with grimdark bitterness.

Unpopular opinion but I don’t mind remakes or live action adaptions of cartoons 😅
Some of them aren’t good as the originals but it’s always fun for me to see a modernized or live action version of a movie from childhood.
The Willy Wonka with Johnny Depp was one of my favorite movies as a kid and I’ve always liked it more than the original.

They made Bill & Ted 3 in 2020. It was called Bill & Ted Face the Music. I haven't seen it yet.

Hollywood has gone creatively bankrupt and is banking on remakes and trending crap to sell a product, much like how video games are only made halfway these days.

Haven't seen anything good worthy of a watch. Last movie I saw was Bullet Train with Brad Pitt. The new Mario movie I am more curious about and may watch on a streaming service, otherwise I have only heard of Cocaine Bear. Supposedly that is based on a bear that literally went on a rampage after ingesting coke. That one may be worth a look out of curiosity, although given it was made by Elizabeth Banks, I will be hesitant.

I remember watching a video about cocaine bear years ago and hearing the story. I’m also curious, I think it’s funny they made a whole movie about it lol

The 16 episode Korean drama "Curtain Call" that will be completed in early 2023. I doubt there will be any 2023 American movies that are not made to indoctrinate the viewers with unrealistic political correctness.

I doubt it will come it in 2023, but my own original movie. Of course, having a budget of…… I guess, happy little accidents, this isn’t going to be some big super mega expensive film like Avatar: The Way of Water where I spare no expense, but for it is, I would say it is going to be a top tier, Tip Top tippy to the tip movie. A stop motion film in fact. As I speak this message, it has been a few minutes since I finished building the Gift Shop. Also made the thing Tron does the thing with.
