Why do you send memes?

What's behind memes? Are you sending them only because you find something funny or sometimes you're trying to convey a message with it?
Would you try to tell someone you have feelings for them with a meme? As in some sort of safe way. You could always say it's only a joke if they don't respond in the way you expected.

I send them because I find them funny. It's a shared thing between one of my sisters and me. We send each other memes all the time.

I wouldn't let someone know what my feelings are for them through a meme. I've found music better suited for that. I would initially tell them myself with my own words, then use music to express what I can't put into words.

I share them when they are relatable to myself or the person that I’m sending them too. Or when they’re just plain funny.

Memes can be GREAT! Especially for fast responses. A picture is worth a thousand words! They can also be used to convey feelings or emotions, which is useful for some people, like me. I'm neurodivergent.
