What movie should be remade?

I think Starship Troopers would be a good movie with today’s CGI. It’s a popcorn movie but it might be able to compete with today’s universes of Marvel and Star Wars. It was based on a novel that some say Alien adapted. A lot of young but now famous actors came out of this movie such as Neil Patrick Harris, Denise Richards and many more.

"Masters of the Universe" because He-man is one of the greatest heroes icons and its been 36 years (1987) since the movie release with Dolph Lundgren as He-man. They're rumors stating that Sony is releasing a remake in 2024 and I hope it pulls through with the technology nowadays.

I fail to see where Starship Troopers effects are lacking. I am generally not a fan of remakes, unless there is at least 50 years between them (e. g. Scarface).
So I would probably be interested to see remakes of the film-noirs, for example Sunset Boulevard.

I think like Star Wars, the original had some obvious issues but overall very good. I think if they remade the original it would allow for a new universe for future movies and give people something other than Star Wars or Marvel. New CGI could make for some amazing scenes. The best thing would be a whole new set of movies in a new universe.

If you follow the developmental history of Star Wars parts 4-6 you will see that they have been updated several times since the first run. Digital remastering, adding of new scenes and adding of new CGI effects. Since that brought them closer to George Lucas' original vision, I have no problem with that (some fanbois might). A complete remake would be blasphemy, chaos to the canon and a waste of money. Disney is already doing enough damage.
