Can you give me some examples where that's so wrong? I got disappointed by Western comics since I once got so excited in this comic book series in the late 80s or early 90s where they killed Superman. And I thought, "Wowww! These writers have balls! They killed Superman! OMG! This is like what Japanese mangaka do!"

But then they revived him next issue! That is so disappointing to me. I hate plot armor.

Can you name big superhero, for example, who has permanently died and will never come back? Not small but big one like Batman, Superman, Spiderman.

there is many great stories in comic books including graphic novels, in spiderman stories in batman stories in particular and there's some anti hero characters who aren't as popular that have great stories

I love the ones where the MCs/protags die a lot, like Game of Thrones! From Japan and I feel like this is normal here. I don't like the ones where they seem to live forever. So just using Batman as an example or Spiderman, I want them to die at some point. Maybe after 300 pages or a thousand frames.

Might just be contrast with Japanese mindset. In Japan here, we like it so much when main characters die! Maybe we are kind of sadistic culture. But that is something I am missing in Western comics a lot is that the main characters seem to have bulletproof plot armor. How am I supposed to be excited when Superman fights anyone without Kryptonite, or even Batman as human as he is when the writers make him like Superman?
