I don’t think Harry knows his father is the Green Goblin until after he’s consumed by grief and obsessed with revenge. So it’s not about the Goblin vs Spider-Man until Harry picks up the mantle. It’s just vengeance because Harry holds Spidey responsible for his father’s death.
so what do we call it after he figures it out? he see goblin as good, spidey as bad, or doesn't care just edgy anti hero grief confused
I always felt like it was mental illness brought on by grief and rage. Dude hears his dead father telling him to kill his best friend. He’s obviously not right in the head. THEN Symbiote Spidey nearly kills Harry as the Goblin. So he’s carrying the weight of vengeance, mental illness and revenge. Until the happy reunion of course, to save MJ and all.
He has BPD. Dont tell anyone, but I have this myself. Its very difficult and painful to live with. Its a stigmatized illness. We can be good guy but people see us as bad. I love how Spider-Man 3 ends up showing Harry as Good Guy and Peter Parker says "No matter what battle we have raging inside us we can always choose to do whats right, my friend Harry taught me that, he chose to be the best of himself." Harry was Good Guy then anti hero then villain or anti hero I don't know then good guy then villainish then antihero then hero.
He see the green goblin as his father someone he love and spider-man as the killer of his father so it's not really a bad / good guy stuff
