I recently saw that Jamie Fox is having some serious medical problems and the media refers to some of his work, but has not, for some reason, eluded to THE KINGDOM. If you have not seen it, it is a really spectacular movie showing just how good a performers that Fox, Garner and Cooper really are. The film is about true events that took place in Saudia Arabia, with the bombing of the compound in Riyadh.
After seeing that film, I really felt a much greater respect for the talents of Fox, Garner and Cooper, and if you saw or will see the film you will feel the same way. Jamie Fox is really a strong character actor and so is Jennifer Garner.
I really hope such a great group of people live long and do many great works such as this one. If you have not seen this film, I highly recommend it to just about anyone reading this

I wasn't a bad movie. However it was fairly simplistic and not the most memorable portrayal of historical events.
I would still recommend it to people.
I don't remember the bombings at Riyadh, but there has been so much terrorism all over the middle east. I could not remember Saudia Arabia being a victim of that kind of bombings. Not certain why you described the film as 'fairly simplistic"... in what regard? Please elaborate, and I DO appreciate your input and comments.
It was simplistic in the sense that it kind of glossed over the complexity and the rammifications of the event to make way for a more action-centric film with surface level tension.
It was more like a generic action movie in the vein of Sicario, The Hurt Locker, or The Green Zone. Just enough real-world political nuance to get people interested but not enough to get too depressing for the audience.
That is all I expected it to be, and it did make references to the 'attitude' of most, including the 'terrorists' when the old bomber, told the child, "Don't worry child, we will kill them all". The only way what you are alluding to, to happen would have been in some kind of Documentary, but with that said, it did show the Arab terrorist organizations existing right in the middle of Saudi. Arabia, and the way the Saudi's treated their "own" by trying to beat confessions out of Saudi citizens i. e. the one Saudi soldier that was killed in the end.
You must remember that the 'real world political nuance' that you describe in the Middle East, has been an issue since The Crusades, and before.
I have never heard of this one
If you have the chance to see it on Netflix or Amazon Prime, I am sure you will enjoy it.
