Yes I knew that. they also originally wanted Bea Arthur (Dorothy from Golden Girls) to voice her
Yes, Divine. Back in the day, when people had no problem being entertained by men in drag, before everyone turned into sooks and bigots.
No, I did not know that. But that is a very interesting fact about Ursala for sure.
I did read a news article on that yes. Divine was also in Hairspray

I think that's more a insult than a compliment as Ursala is ugly as hell which needless to say if it's based on someone so are they.
It's based off a persona, drag is a costume
I did not know that. Maybe because I never heard of devine.
Divine was popular in the 70s and 80s. Was in the original '88 version of Hairspray as Edna Turnbald (which influenced the use of actors in drag for the character in future adaptations) along with many other films. Also had a music career and influenced other musicians even had sings dedicated to him.
No, I make a point of not knowing stuff like that.
Not sure how that's woke π€
It's a Disney movie so it's woke.
It's not surprising. They made everyone believe that Divine is a natural born female
Wow. I can really see the resemblanceβ¦
Is that why Triton banished her? rofl
I just know one thing, Disney is so fucked up
What the? I had no idea.
You're welcome π€
Yeah I had to look up Divine. There are other pictures that really show Ursula was based off him
i did! love them both.
Damn I didn't know there wad a person that hideous
You don't understand drag do you?
No I don't. I'm definitely not into that
That's an interesting fact

Yep.

Likely you didn't know?
