I notice that usually the problem is when the characters are of darker tones. So do I risk being attacked if all my characters are dark-skinned? They say the problem isn't skin tone, it's originality, but I follow several creators who create ORIGINAL characters and are disturbed by having too many dark-skinned characters, so it's kind of confusing...
If I create my own animation without involving politics or sensitive topics, but I don't create any white characters, will they still call me woke? ?

maybe woke is over used at this point. if it's original or based on history, I don't think so.
the issue is hollywood is pushing this agenda, which is weird. old characters are altered... makes no sense. I respect creating new ones or modeling off real life.
It is complicated. Everything seems to be woken up now, I want to see how it goes in the future. Maybe it's funny... I saw videos on tik tok of people calling any work with black characters, homosexuals, etc woken. There was nothing woke in the story, only one of the villains was white, he was a villain because he was evil and not because he was white, but apparently that's enough to be woken. So it's best to avoid creating stories where whites are villains, especially if they're white men. Creating minorities as villains is racism. Creating white characters as villains is pushing the agenda. hahahaha it's funny and comprehensible at the same time.

I value real history and lives... Major Taylor, the life and perils of a Christian African persecuted by Muslims, Tuskegee airmen, etc. Lots of great stories can be told. But making spiderboy black is woke as is little mermaid, as is making the white characters stupid and mean and black people flawless. Make real people. creative stuff is ok, I think can have white villain... plenty of them in movies. But if everyone in say... Chicago area... is good black and the bad guys are white, that's kinda messed up.
you can do a lot with trans people, that's mostly gonna look woke but if they are humanized more, it's better... show their real challenges and real people.
like... you could create an imation on the first person to pogo stick around the moon, make them whatever race you want. that be unique...
or the first person to translate the dolphin/orca language. I met a black girl dolphin trainer in Bahamas, that isn't a stretch.
Nah... there are people who are truly prejudiced and who use anti-woke speech to not mention the real reason for annoyance. It's normal to have stories where the character dies and reincarnates in a world where only Asian or white characters, no one questions why this new world has only whites or Asians, they just are because yes, because the author wanted to. The problem is that the same does not happen with black characters. If someone creates a story where the character dies and is reincarnated in a world where all the characters are black, I'm sure they'd call it woke. They would say things like "what is the biological explanation for this", "It doesn't make sense for a universe to have only black people". I don't care about the little mermaid, most people don't. Both those who praise and those who hate do so for ideological reasons. Spiderman hasn't been changed, there's a specific reason why they don't like him.
