Fender or Gibson Electric guitar, and why?

Fender vs Gibson is the classic never-ending clash between legendary guitar brands. Their Iconic design and tone are part of rock music and defined the sound of many genres.

You only need to hear or listen to Slash (Guns N' Roses) playing his favourite Les Paul Standard to realise that Gibson far outranks any other make

Please Note: This is purely my own personal opinion.

And I'm not overlooking the fact that the Late/Great Jimi Hendrix could make a Strat both "sing and talk".

Gibson, because they come with humbuckers stock.

They do, but an HSS strat has both single-coil and humbucker pickups. The humbucker is almost always the bridge pickup, and the single coils are the middle and neck. There is a five-way switch that allows you to isolate any pickup or combine either single coil with the humbucker.

Yes. I think the amp has more to do with the sound than the guitar.
