Why do I stumble over words more than I used too?

i noticed since i left school and dont socialize as much and I've gotten into my later teens i stutter more or stumble over words when speaking fast i used to rarely stumble on words should i be worried or is this normal

I had a weird little phase like this when I was maybe 18 or 19… wasn’t feeling like myself back then. They were some difficult times for me… down on my luck, no confidence, dealing with some stuff…

Time passes and you get over it. I seized some opportunities and moved away for a little while and “started over.” Hit the reset button… Did wonders for me and I’ve since done it another time or two.

I think the main thing is that you’re seeing something where you feel something isn’t right. You’re aware of it, so now do what you know deep down you need to do and give it time. It might honestly just be your age and developing as a teenager/young adult. Nothing more, nothing less… just speaking from my personal experience.

Things will straighten out, trust me.

It could be anxiety. Try to repeat the sentence in your head before you say it. I've heard that helps but I never stuttered myself. Hope it works out!

I think it's because of socializing less, maybe also being naturally introverted and shy. It's kind of similar with me.

My brother had this too but grew out of it. Try to slow down your speech a bit and see it it helps any.

Don't worry about why you do that, and just focus on slowing down when you speak.
