Do you think Elton John will stay retired?

Elton John announced the end of his farewell tour. He had an amazing career and left us with a big pile of great music. Many musicians have multiple farewell tours. Some times it is for financial reasons but mostly I think they miss the applause. I saw him perform once and he really was amazing.

Who knows. He may do some more live performances but may be done touring. Touring is brutal.

I saw him once in the early 70s. He's a great song writer and put on a really good performance. Yeah, I know that Bernie Taupin wrote most of the lyrics but Elton was the musician. Few great performer write all their own songs and lyrics. Elton was the musician and performer.

All the acts I liked are all in their 60s and 70s. My doctors and dentist are all retired. I play Spot the Old Guy at the gym and sometimes it is me.

I saw his last performance yesterday in Stockholm it was great. He said its his last and finale show (as touring). So yes he is retiring. He might make one song far in the future but its not sure:)

Did Jordan or Brady stay retired? Musicians perform as long as they can. When they retire they last as long as their money does, and then they are back for another farewell tour, until money runs out again, and ad finitum.

no because he said Dodger Stadium was his last concert (which I was at), then he said Glastonbury was his last concert, now he just did a "last concert" in Stockholm
