Absofuckinglutely! I could find the light at the end of the tunnel.
On the flip side the light at the end of a tunnel could be a freight train.

Absolutely. I was never scared of the dark, per se. I was scared of what may come IN it, but I hated a night light because then I could be seen. Haha, funny, I actually wrote a long post about that when someone asked something about childhood. I've spent my whole career up until very recently in some pretty dark places. A friend of mine in a different country before he was assassinated (who could be quite... thorough... when needed) said to me "In Iraq, we tell our children of the saluwa that comes and steals children who misbehave. They lie awake at night afraid that the bad things they've done will be too much, and the saluwa will take them. All the terrorist who have come to my country, they tell their children stories of me." After some of our time together, my greatest professional compliment was when he put his hand on my shoulder and said with a nod "Tonight, I tell my children of you."
