I had a friend from college that went to school in London for a year. We used to write each other a lot and I think that she was pretty lonely. This was about the time that this song first came out. I think of her whenever I hear it. We sort of lost track of each other but years later I found out that she was murdered by her husband. I heard the live version of this song the other day and the audience singing along with the chorus is really haunting. I can't get it out of my head.

Caught me at a bad time. For the past week, I've been updating the quality of my entire music folder. Recently converted around 2,600 flac files to 320kbps mp3. And since I had to make sure every song is an exact copy of the version I was replacing it with, it meant that I had to skim through them all. So I haven't really been listening to just one song. 🤔
