When was the last time you opened Pokémon cards?

I think the last time I did was…… junkshift jankies, I can’t remember….. it was either those boxes with the promo tag team Espeon and Deoxys, Reshiram and Charizard, and Darkrai and Umbreon, or that Elite Trainer box with Necrozma on it. Either way, I lost the passion but have rediscovered it once again and will be opening a little Silver Tempest box with 6 packs next Thursday night and it’s going to be epic. It will be my 100 subscriber special video. Really looking forward to this, and I still am waiting for the parts for Car Gura to arrive.

In my humble opinion, this is literally the best set so far. It comes with some stupendous bangers such as the Lugia V art rare + alt art, and that beautiful Serena full art card. She has never looked better and it almost has me convinced that she may be the best waifu in the entire franchise including the games. Speaking of the games, this set also has two Blaziken cards with the girl you play as in ORAS. If I may be honest, if I end up pulling that card next week I don’t know if I’ll classify it as a Banger or a Waifu card. Hold on let me check if there’s any more Waifus in this set…… HOLY DUCKLEJIM SHUCKSFACE, THIS SET IS FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH WAIFUS INCLUDING MARNIIEE!!! DDOAOAOHHHDLDLLHHH☠️☠️☠️☠️🦖🦖🦖🦖☠️🦖🌊🇺🇸🇺🇸🐢🕊️🕊️ Im speechless

A few months ago my friends and I all got back into it as something to do… and prior to that, yeah it had been about 20 years since I collected any cards. It’s actually been a lot of fun and the odd, lucky insane pull has kept me coming back. 😅 I ended up pulling the top card of the Sword and Shield era really early on and it just kickstarted everything.

I really do like what they’re doing with the TCG now, with the secret, alternate prints. Makes it even more fun for collectors… there’s like so many more layers of rarity now and some of the top hit cards are legitimately stunning to look at.

I’m down to 2 more cards that I want to pull… the Meowscarada and Skeledirge alternate illustration prints from the latest set, and I’m putting the lid on everything after that. Put a lot of money into it, but the fun and the pulls have made up for it… and just the social aspect, talking to new people around town. There’s a lot of cool, open-minded people out there that still keep up with it.
