Whats the best building game if you are wanting to make a very custom mansion?

Minecraft is my favourite for big builds.

Do you have a favorite mod selection for it? (or do you play vanilla?).

I kept getting stuck trying to build what I wanted because of mod incompatibilities. The vanilla version lacks a lot of stuff I want in my house.
