1.) I know there were three short animated "Popeye" films/movies. They were all between 16 and 22 minutes long. "Popeye Meets Sinbad" (1936), "Popeye The Sailor Meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves" (1937), and "Aladdin And His Wonderful Lamp" (1939). Were they first, and do they count? Or was there a "Betty Boop" and/or a "Felix The Cat" animated film that counts as a "movie" from the 1920s or early 1930s that I'm not remembering? I'm a cartoon nerd.

2.) Is it "Time Warp"? I only saw Rocky Horror once.

3.) The first Bond movie made by Albert R. Broccoli was "Dr. No". The first Bond book written by Ian Fleming was "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", which ended up being the 9th or 10th movie. Broccoli made the movies out of order, and I'm not sure why. I love the original Bond movies and books. I haven't seen or read any of them in a long time. I'm also a Bond nerd.

4.) Someplace below freezing. 😂 I know it was made to seem Scandinavian and/or Swiss.

5.) Never saw this movie. Oh well. Can't win them all.

Okay - #3 needs an asterisk**** There's more to the story.

The very first time anyone portrayed James "Jimmy" Bond on ANY screen was on the small screen, television, in 1954. American actor Barry Nelson portrayed 007 in an episode of the show "Climax". The episode was named, you guessed it, Casino Royale. He did indeed go by the name Jimmy Bond in that episode.

The very first MOVIE the James Bond character appeared in was a spoof of that Casino Royale episode, also named Casino Royale. It starred David Niven as the original Bond. It also starred Peter Sellers and Ursula Andress as Vesper.

Dr. No was the first movie in what became the current Bond series in 1962. Fun facts:

MANY different actors were considered for the role of 007 in the first Bond movie. Cary Grant was all but signed, however was too old at 58 to commit to a 3-movie deal. Director Terence Young wanted David Niven. Ian Fleming wanted Richard Todd. Trevor Howard, Stanley Baker, Rex Harrison, Richard Johnson and Patrick McGoohan (the Prisoner) were all considered. Roger Moore (the Saint) who eventually made 7 Bond movies, was first rejected because "he was a bit too pretty"!

So, a contest was held to "find Bond" and a handsome model named Peter Anthony was chosen. Problem was, he couldn't act. Soon after that, Connery gets a lunch with Albert Broccoli, Harry Salzman and Ian Fleming. After a bad first impression, Broccoli's wife convinces him that Connery had the rugged masculinity of the superspy and "moves like a cat", and should be given a chance. Despite Ian Fleming's vehement objections, Connery was chosen. Fleming hated this choice right up until he saw the movie. From then on, he was a convert, and the rest is history.

So, to all Sean's fans, you can thank Albert Broccoli's wife Dana for delivering the young Scottish actor to his iconic role.
