Got a gig as a scare actor - what are some tips to make this haunt very successful and fun?

This will be super fun, but I don't know what to dress as. What are some character ideas for a girl scare actor? I'll be doing it for 3 or 4 weekends. What are the best ways to be a good scare actor and scare people at the event? This will be my first time acting as a scare actor. It will be outdoors and there will be some potential "hazards" like corn stocks. So if I wore something that didn't cover my legs fully, I'd need a way to protect myself from getting too scratched up in those areas. I'm not sure exactly how cold it'll be either. It'll be at night, so it could get chilly. I'd rather not get sick by dressing inappropriately for the weather lol Our weather changes a lot here where I live, so it may be really chilly, or it may not be that bad. I'll have to wait and see, but multiple character ideas would be appreciated in case one option wouldn't work due to the weather or something. Thanks!

i would cut carton from cardboard box and slide it together like a finger guard with a long rounded piece like chain saw. if you have time paint it silvery metal but the shape seems enuf

They will usually assess you for their part, not the other way round.

We are free to choose our own outfits/characters for this one because it is a locally owned one. They need actors, so me and my boyfriend as well as a few friends/family offered to help out.

Ok so did they tell you what your character is going to be because you can dress up for that I use to do that

They are letting us choose our own characters/outfits. It's a local place, so they didn't have any specific roles. It's whatever we want.
