I am scary. What should I do?

I want to send to my crush a friend request in Instagram or in any social media account (as he know I like him, we make just eye contact, he make strange signs and tell his friends about me then they look at me and they laugh in front of me) I don't know if he like me back or what he do and I think he knows my accounts in social media but he doesn't send to me any friend request
- I am scary if I follow him and he noticed that and didn't follow me back and tell his friends (as he always do that) and they laugh at me
- I am scary if I follow him and then he follow me back and if I start to talk with him like "Hi" and he seen my message and didn't answer and tell his friends

He's not behaving like he likes you if he's talking about you to his friends in a way that makes them laugh at you. It may be better if you ask him in person why hasn’t he sent you a friend request.
