Which city in the world is the best setting for a horror movie?

It depends on the type of horror movie, but quiet European towns and villages with their pre-globalization architecture intact are generally my favorite.

For a more original idea though, a setting in one of a handful of major US cities with infamously slow police response times baked in as a plot point would be interesting.

My city is home to a famous zombie series. I think they filmed it here because of the Meth problem. There was no shortage of zombies for the series.
