What do you think of this song about incest?

Jesus Christ, what kind of music do you listen to?😂
It's certainly much better than that horrendous rap song😂
It's actually a nice song, but I don't think there's anyway a listener could have known what it's actually about, without the singer telling them. It just sounds like a nice song about an eagle. People are saying their French teachers played it even😂
Yes, I kind of figured that one, but I was expecting something more straightforward.
I agree about her voice, it's very scratchy, but the melody is nice
The allegory completely escapes me. I would not know it was about incest without you having said so. Is this a cultural difference between French and English speakers as there seems to a lot more allusion in French works.

She reminisced the day of her innocence. She appears to love her father remembering him as a majestic predator despite what he did. She has persevered and moved on, else she probably wouldn’t be able to write a song about it.
Depressing to watch
I don't know Shivaree, I'm going to listen to this. Yes it's a really sad song to be honest, but I think she manages to talk about her unhappiness in a very brave way. A French philosopher wrote "au plus profond de tes rides dort le souvenir de tes malheurs", and I think that sums up this song quite well.
I never would have figured it out.
