Is anyone else excited for the upcoming Godzilla film?

No. If im being honest, the only Godzilla films i liked was Godzilla 1998 with Matt Broderick (yes the one people love to hate because he looks like a lizard or for whatever other reason) and King of Monsters (mainly because of the monsters). But i did not enjoy Godzilla vs Mothra nor the other old fake clay looking ones. I did not enjoy the Godzilla remake where he gets his ass beat by tripod massagers. Godzilla vs Kong had beautiful colors but a horrible storyline and it was just boring. I won’t be paying to see the new one and i heard there's a GvK2 but yea, no. Same kinds goes for Kong. I only liked King Kong 2005. The others before and after disappointed me. 1998 was great as a kid in my opinion but the cgi looks bad now. I also enjoyed the cartoon sequel series to it with baby Godzilla

I've never been interested in Godzilla and I'm sure this one won't change that
The only Godzilla film that I'd want to see is a faithful recreation of the original 1954 Japanese version. No need to change the story, just better effects and cinematography.
The original should be seen - subtitles and all - because it is actually a very very good science fiction film. It was on my bucket list to see it and I luckily finally did. I was rather affected by it because it is considerably different and darker than the 1956 American version with Raymond Burr.
I don't know if you need a YouTube Premium subscription (I have one), but the original is available for free on YouTube here:

Seriously, it's a much better film than anything that came later. Much more depth than the 1956 American version which had many significant scenes cut out and replaced with scenes involving Raymond Burr. It's a more serious film that also gives more depth to other characters and themes and includes some explanation that would have been helpful in later films.
FYI, the 1956 American version is also free on YouTube.

Does it have to do with the other Godzilla or is it another different monster from the same species, I don't recall what happened to Godzilla in part one, did they kill it?
Those Japanese want to be attacked by giant lizards so bad lol

Yeah me and my dad are going to see it, don't think it will beat Shin but longs if it beats that anime I am good lol.
@420Rachel That film was insane. Beat shin for me easily... damn... didn't expect it to be that good wth. Hopefully you've seen it, I don't think I am overexaggerating when I say that was the best Godzilla film of all time.
People may think I'm weird, but the best Godzilla movies are the old ones, where you knew it was a guy in a rubber suit walking through models of Tokyo.

My rescue kittens love the Godzilla roar, so yes
Ngl I am. I had a dream about Godzilla out of nowhere one day only to find out they're coming out with stuff afterward. Like Monarch: Legacy of Monsters that's coming to appletv+
I wouldn't say excited but on a crappy night I'm in for a movie and $75 drink and bucket of popcorn.
I am a fan of American ones but I'll watch this too!
I was never really a fan of the beast from Japan but, maybe I'll check it out. I'd rather see either "Wonka" or "Napoleon" that are also coming out this holiday season
Wait what? Must investigate
now that i know Godzilla actually exists, but a bit smaller in real life, I will have to watch this. It should basically be like a documentary.
Yes! It looks epic and I love Kaiju films.
The only Godzilla film I watched was Godzilla vs Kong, it was pretty cool
I'll wait to see what people say first :P
It is looking pretty good
no not really.
