Do you remember any old songs from before your time that you heard when your were young?

My sister just reminded me of this one. I remember it clearly.
We were both very young. We were sitting in the back seat of the car on some trip. We and my mom were singing songs. At some point, we asked my dad to sing one. I don't remember him singing before or since, but we talked him into it and this is what he came up with.

There was a good ol' German man, his name was Don Rebeck
He used to like his sausages and sauerkraut, I 'xpec.
One day while he was sitting there, he thought himself a scheme
How he could make his sausages and make them all by steam

OHHH Mr. Don Rebeck, how could you be so mean?
I told you you'd be sorry for building that machine.
Now long tailed rats and cinnamon cats no longer can be seen
They've all been ground to sausages in Don Rebeck's machine

One day the machine went wrong, the thing it wouldn't go
So Don Rebeck he crawled inside to see what was wrong you know
His wife while in a nightmare and walking in her sleep
She gave the crank a HELL of a yank and Don Rebeck was meat

OHHH Mr. Don Rebeck, how could you be so mean?
I told you you'd be sorry for building that machine.
Now long tailed rats and cinnamon cats no longer can be seen
They've all been ground to sausages in Don Rebeck's machine

That's my dad's version. Years later I tried to find it by googling. Come to find out, it's an old campfire song. He must have learned it when he was in the Boy Scouts.
It also sounds like the kind song that WWI and WWII soldiers would sing while getting drunk in the canteen. He was an infantry man in Europe during WWII.

There is no version that matches what he sang. What I did find were versions of Mr. Dunderbeck but even my dad's melody is different.

Here's one version.
