As a child, I had a Disney album of classical music that included things like The Hall of the Mountain King, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, The William Tell Overture, and stuff like that. It gave me an early appreciation for music.

Around 1962, when I was 8, an uncle gave me a bag of 45 rpm records that had a wide assortment of late '50s and early '60s songs including pop, country western and rockabilly. I loved Little Darlin' by the Diamonds and Hot Rod Lincoln by Johnny Bond in particular.

I used to listen to music on a transistor radio and particularly remember Sherry by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

Around that time, my grandfather bought Rhythm of the Rain by the Cascades and I listened to it over and over.

I also loved The Unicorn Album by the Irish Rovers and Puff the Magic Dragon by Peter, Paul and Mary.

But about a year or so later, the Beatles hit the U. S. and music started changing.
I started listening to them, as well as other early British invasion bands.
Surf music also became popular and I listened to The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, The Ventures, and stuff like that.

Along with rock and roll, there was also folk, R&B, soul, MoTown.

Then came electric folk, psychedelic and rock.

I started learning to play the guitar when I was 11 or 12 and began playing and singing lead in garage bands by 9th grade. In high school I was into stuff like Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and that kind of thing. I went to hundreds of concerts in the '70s.

yeah I was raised on pop in the early 2000s so definitely like foster the people and like empire of the sun for a bit but then once I started to gain interest in music it was Michael Jackson and then I kinda drifted towards hard rock like Van Halen and then I got into metallica and then it just got progressively into more harder metal.

I definitely do! Growing up, I was surrounded by music, just like art. My parents often played their favorite classic rock tunes, and I grew up loving bands like The Beatles and Queen.
