That's totally irrelevant. I've heard the records. I wasn't around for Sinatra, Elvis, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday or Patsy Cline either, but I know their music. Karen had a sweet enough voice, but it always sounded too cloying and I didn't like her phrasing in a lot of stuff. It's music, everybody's got their loves, likes, dislikes and hates, but needing to be a contemporary isn't a pre-requisite for any of that.

I'm not sure what you mean? They didn't "legions" of fans going to their shows, but they sold over 100 million albums and singles worldwide. TS has sold about 115 million to date, but she's got years to go. TS doesn't have the voice or pure talent that Karen did. I just didn't like their style and renditions of certain songs.

* Jeff Beck - Blow by Blow - if you don't know this album, you don't know guitar
* Warren Zevon - Excitable Boy - even Werewolves of London still brings a smile, and the rest of the album is both rock and sentimental joy

DAD: No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims. There is one shitty song on it, but it's the throwaway track so I'm not even counting it.

Lindemann: Skills In Pills. Not all the songs are great, but they're not so bad that I have to skip over them.

Pink Floyd: The Division Bell. There's sone song on there that's not that great, but it's bareable.

Guttermouth: Covered With Ants

AFI: All Hollow's EP. It's technically an EP and only has 4 songs, but I count it aways.

And there's also some foreign language albums I listen to that fit this criteria.
