When were your SIMPLER times?

simpler? what do you mean i don't get it, but if you talk about my most happy times i would say when i was 16-17
- i was popular and even feared.
-i had a perfect physique
- i was having my best years when it came to sex, i had 1 cousin of mine who is 6 years older than me as a regular enough partner and also had another female friend who was bi and was having a only females kind of exclusivity with her i had my first 3 some with her and the rest too if anything almost every sex i had was either with her or her playing the match maker for me.
- i had my own place and money (from semi-questionable resources)
- i was always getting my rush of adrenalin and excitement, yes i was also supporting very bad bruises and injuries too sometimes and spent the most violent times oflife too in that timeline but it was fun and i revelled in it.
-it was the days i was actually feeling alive and LİVİNG not just merely existing and struggling with the drags of life.
- i didn't have a care about the world, no care about school, laws, future, work, nothing. i was having my fun, socializing, having sex, working out, fighting, drinking, riding, chilling, just living my life.
now, i might as well be dead comparing to this.
I'm older than the internet. And cell phones. That was simpler. Much simpler.
Me too, but some things, like meeting someone in town, weren't easier. They required more independent thought and planning ahead.
The queue for the club is really long? You have to wait for the last in your party to turn up before you can choose to go somewhere else. Unless you don't like them, anyway.
I love watching really old series, like Callan. "Where were you?" "I couldn't get to a phone!". A different world.
It was straightforward for me. Everyone met at one person's house and we decided what we're doing then. Our record was getting 9 people in a Peugeot 205 and going to the middle of Dartmoor around 1am to see what the place looked like at 1am.
The cop that pulled me over and breath tested me couldn't believe I was stone sober. He also couldn't believe I'd got so many people in my car 🤣🤣🤣
I've been in Germany slightly longer. I miss it too, it is a beautiful place. (Did you see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delicious_(TV_series) - just down the road.)
My childhood in the 00s-early 10s. As much as I love modern technology, buying vhs/dvds/cds, owning an mp3 player, or playing games on a flip phone was nostalgic and simple before I got into the internet as a teen. Loved the tv shows and music that were on back then, people were more normal (or less angry I should say at least) and you didn't need to worry about the types of politics like you do today.
I have that same DS haha.
I guess my simpler times was in the time of the Ferbies.

I think before the smartphone is where I'd draw the line.
The older I've gotten the less I miss simpler timers given how good technology has gotten. Given how I turned 19 in 2013, the technology in the last 10 years alone (2013-2023) why would I ever want to go back to outdated tech. Lol! 😃🙃 Yet if I had to answer, I guess the year 2019, as I still used a dumb-phone will using an iPod touch second gen. Then late 2019/early 2020 onwards, I went full time smartphone, also because tech in society meant I had to.
Dumb Phone: think Nokia/Chinese no name brand keypad phone the size of a small chocolate 🍫
Ah the classic DS it was the life. Then they brought out the 3DS which was cool and better but it somehow made everything worse.
Normal DS, Normal Wii, Normal Xbox 360 was all the simpler life. The new stuff is better yet I can't help always thinking it would of been much better if they never made any new consoles after them.
two months old... then I got both passports, and life has been quite busy, since... lol
Pre puberty. All I had to worry about was riding my bike around the neighborhood
Kindergarten, things kept getting more complicated and more uncomfortable as life progressed.
The 1980’s. It was great being a kid, great toys, great tv shows, 👍🙂
The time before my aunt passed away. I wasn’t happy again until I became an adult and moved away
80s and 90s were super simple days. I miss being a kid and discovering things for the first time.
I would argue, with occasional difficulties, each new day is your easiest.
You never knew as much as you did before.
The 1970s was simpler time for me but I bet the 1920s was real simple times
13 and younger when the summer was filled with surfing and hanging out.
I'm thinking 1mo through 7 or 8 years old.
The 80' and 90's.
From the ages of 10-13.
I still live simply.
right now
The times before I was born of course.
When modems loaded pictures line by line.
Early 2000's ❤️
Right now
NO cell phones! Stereos! Radios! Stickshifts!
Honestly it has never been simpler.
2012-2014 😂
The 1960s
When I was three.
