Here's the little background story of how i knew about it:
I was having a break in my workplace talking to my friends when suddenly one of them sat on the piano and just started playing it and suddenly the music made me distracted and i was focused on it while hearing my friends conversation as if they were background voices...
I was so much into this musical piece that while i'm listening to it, i saw a flash of my life memories since my early childhood, the good old happy days and the ugly sad ones, a mix of everything, than suddenly one my friends have shouted: "are you still with us?" I snapped and the music have stopped, i felt like i was physically with them but mentally i was in another place, maybe surfing a wave of time and i asked my friend: "what were you playing?" He said: "river flows in you" and that's how i came up to say that this simple musical piece is my music of this year "2023", enjoy hearing it...

my best friend loves playing the cello... so the first time I actually heard this piece it was her, playing the cello to this for some of the many events... it was a request
I love the sounds of the cello because of her, because of the countless times we were at her place, or other places... and she would play for hours even (piano and violin) well I was there either watching her play, or doing my own thing while listening to her
as for the musical piece... I can only say that I like it, I enjoy it and it feels special to me, a couple of times, she did offer to show me about music, you know in the musical sense of it, the technicalities... even to play an instrument, as she claimed that I could be great at it but no, I refused every time, it is too much for me... my attention to detail can become obsessive, lol
so I always said nope, no... I don't want to know a thing about it, I just want to feel the music, and to see you play and the way you love to play music...
That's awesome, i can really feel how you have dealt with it and for sure you had some beautiful memories about it now...
The name of this musical piece really fits it cause as you can see that we have felt something in our inner self and mind and when we heard it so it's really a "river that flows in us" but each in a different way but the essence is the same 🙂
very true...
Bitter sweet. Nice tune. But overplayed since I play the piano & over the years I've heard it soooooo many times to the pont where the melody is just a meme in my mind.
I searched about it and it's mentioned that it's one of the overplayed music but still has it's meaning for me...
It's a piano piece but i chose a video where it's played as duos between the piano, cello and violin to give it a better taste, also since i like the violin and cello too, it adds some beautiful vibes to it 🙂
I think the accompanied instruments intensify the cringe for me. Just makes me think of the thousands of distorted microphones of the people who have attempted to play it over the years 🤣
But I will say that the melodic pattern is fun to tap. Certain songs like this have a satisfying way about them in terms of the fingering needed to play them & the dynamics involved in making it more dramatic/emotional
True, they have hit the emotional scale quite well 😄
This is my jam Tony. Did I tell you about this ever in conversation?
Nope you haven't lovely giant, tell me about it...😊
I listen to it sometimes (not done so in a long time) in the dark at night and it relaxes my soul. It's timelessly beautiful ❤️
I'm glad that you like it and it really is beautiful...
The sound of the cello always reminded me about a movie that i watched in my childhood and liked it a lot, (don't know the name of the movie) but the plot talks about a foreigner who came from the U. S to china to learn the chinese language and to practice the life of shaolin monks, he played the cello and was offered to teach English in a chinese school... etc
The movie is great, the story is wonderful filled with love, romance, drama, music and foreign traditions and lifestyle...
The guy always expressed himself by playing his cello and all the students loved listening to him while playing plus the chinese teacher who had a crush on him hehe
If you remember the name of the movie let me know
I will 😊👍🏻
