So many to choose from, but my top bands are probably Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Dio & Pantera.

Five Finger Death Punch. Wrong side of heaven, American capitalist and welcome to the circus are my favourites from them. Heavy metal singers often have these low, growly, and really incomprehensible voices but FFDP is a nice subversion. Their lead can sing- like, belt his heart out, sing. And when he wants to shriek and scream he hits those notes. Plus wrong side of heaven has been a favourite song of mine since I can remember (I'm raised by metalheads lmao) so yeah, I'm a big fan

Black Sabbath is my favourite band of all time, but I like 100s of metal bands from all eras.

Are you a die hard Ozzy (in Sabbath) fan exclusively, or do you love the Dio era as well? I love me some Ozzy, but I'm obsessed with Dio from the Rainbow days. When it comes to best male rock singers of all time, Dio is in my top five list. Lady Evil is a favorite song of mine.

It would probably be Trivium or Rammstein, since I listened to them so much growing up. A lot of nostalgia there and Rammstein has amazing live performances.

For heavier metal, Opeth, Amon Amarth, and Dying Fetus come to mind.

I love Rammstein. Most people are only familiar with Du Hast and a couple of other hits that made it Stateside, but their catalog is deep and amazing! I regret that I've never seen them live. On the heavier side, I like Lamb of God, Children of Bodum, Meshuggah as well as many others.

Dudeee Trivium's songs live in my head rent free. Especially until the world goes cold.
Also, 'Dying Fetus' is a hilariously dramatic band name

@veganrogue I agree. Rammstein has a lot of good songs that many people do not know of. All their earlier albums I think at least 70% of each are songs to like.

Children of Bodum I forgot existed, lmao. Meshuggah and Lamb of God are good stuff.

@wiltingrosepetal Yeah, a lot of their songs are easy to remember, lol. I don't know how deep you are into them, but the Ascendecy album is one that's rent free for me. Same for Vengeance Falls

Not really into traditional metal but the two that I do like are Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold.
I am more into modern alternative stuff like Motionless in White and In this Moment.

When it comes ot male rock vocals Dio is the GOAT! Ever since I heard Rainbow's 'Stargazer', my life would never be the same. Lady Evil is one my favorite songs of the Dio era.

I think we need more metal bands with female singers. On the heavier side of metal, most male singers sound like, as my nephew likes to say, 'an angry Cookie Monster'. Female vocalist have a much better range, can bring the power, and a lot more musicality. It adds and almost 'opera' like quality to metal if that makes any sense.

Most of that album is pretty good. It is the Demanufacture album.
Their other album, Remanufacture is good if you like lots of bass and have good speakers.

Manowar is cool too, but on each album, half the songs are bad and half are good.

Can't believe that dave grohl have so much potentials, back when i was a kid, i was a fan of nirvana and still to this day but i always saw dave as no more than this skinny nirvana drummer, after cobain's death, his potentials were released...

Rush is one of my all time favorite rock bands. I'm actually sitting with their complete score on my music stand and I'm tyring to learn the drum parts and guitar parts, but as you know Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson are both incredible. Their songs are so brilliantly crafted with awesome lyrics. They are truly musician's musicians. In 2024 I'm going to start learning bass as well, but just like the other two, Geddy is a beast on bass!

Dream Theatre. All of them are some of the best virtuosos in prog rock, but Petrucci and Portnoy set a bar few can match.

Foo Fighters - Dave Grohl, Nuff said.

Not that familiar with Alter Bridge, but Tremonti is a great guitarist and there are few male vocalists that can sing like Kennedy.

I've been to every RUSH tour since 2008. Spectacular stuff.

Alter Bridge is just plain good Rock n Roll. Their songs are meaty and have stong rythms and killer riffs
