How many books have you read this past year?

Yesterday night I talked with my brother about the books we have read this year, he had a year of Dostoevsky, I had a year of Asian Literature and we shared each other some of the philosophies and thoughts about the books we have read, it’s always exciting to discuss some philosophical and intellectual thoughts with him.

To sum up this year, how many books have you read and which one left the biggest impression of you?

I read one completely, and I have another I just picked up yesterday when I saw it in a bookshelf and thought to myself, ha, I have not finished this! With all that's happened to me this year and last, I have not had much time for reading books. But I normally read at least 2 a year.

Probably close to 100. Green Hills and Prison Cells by Celyn Kendrick had the biggest impact on me this year. Page turner, witty dialog, so much food for thought. Romantic, nail-biting, funny... and it ended the series so brilliantly that I wanted to go back and read the series from the beginning so I could live in the world a bit longer.

I am ashamed to say I did not read one single book. In , my defense I usually read 3 or 4 books on vacation and I had no vacation this year. I put a hold on a book last month and evey time I went to pick it up the library was closed. This was Thanksgiving week and they were closed or the whole weekend.

Not counting books for work. I would imagine about 300 give or take about 10. That's how much my bookshelf of books I have read has grown since a year ago.

I've listened to about a dozen on Audible. I struggle to read. Right now I'm listening to Matthew Perry read his autobiography. Very sad story.
