What are your thoughts on Usher’s performance at the 2024 Super Bowl? Did you like it?

I didn't watch it.

Since the Super Bowl is a good game and I like to watch the action AND the commercials are fun to watch, I am glued to the TV until half-time.

Once half-time arrives, I stop watching for 15 minutes because 1) I probably have to pee, 2) I have a critical chore or two to do, and, most importantly, 3) I almost certainly do not give a rat's ass about who is performing. Every performance - before the game and during halftime - is tedious. I start muttering Bart Simpson when he was watching the halftime show for the 1992 Super Bowl between Washington and Buffalo.

I liked it. I appreciated that he was singing live even with all the dancing considering a lot of half time shows are lip synced.

i think he sounded good, his dancing was great, and he performed all his classics. I love the roller skating part too

Righttt It was probably that and sweating bullets like a roasted pig lol but it was a great performance, it was short and a few people he didn’t bring on like Justin Bieber. Justin’s ass was sitting in the crowd with his wife watching and people hoped and expected him to be on with usher, also it was short for the performance.

Now Alicia did good but I wouldn’t say her voice sound bad live always, but her first note I caught on was shaky that I seen people on tik tok laughed about it 😂 the disrespect was crazy and when they got to My Boo my absolute one of my favorites by usher with Alicia, her voice wasn’t all that there for that song maybe cause she’s getting older but she did her th8gn up there and looked damn amazing with her fit she on last night

Justin was there with his wife but I found out he’s dealing with some health issues which is why he didn’t come out to perform, I was bankin him to come out and perform Somebody to Love with usher cause that was my shit when I was younger

It was okay but I prefer more singing the great songs and less over-the-top dancing and gyrating. And too many costume changes for a 15 minute performance.

I'm sure some people loved it. In my book, I'd rate it 5/10.

I thought it was okay, less frenzied and try hard than it's been in recent years. No politics, no wardrobe malfunctions, no simulated sex. Just nice singing and nice costumes. I'm not a fan of Usher but whatever.

Especially if, of all grand stages, surely the Superbowl could afford better, the NFL could afford someone younger, relevant, aka even someone under the age of 30 yet above the age of 20, artist singer whether that's a SZA or whether that's a Ava Max or whether that's a whoever. Just a pop star who's still relevant and refreshing and fresh, you know. Why pick someone who's like, not as relevant or not as new in the music scene 🎵🎶

I guess usher is one of those stars from that older generation from the 90s who actually has experience, been in the music business for 30 years now, has timeless hits, and can put on a show as I can’t think of anyone today to put a show like that in the modern scene.

I can't argue that he doesn't know how to put on a really polished, tight performance after being in the game this long. That Super Bowl stage has to be insane pressure and he handled it for sure. And it is hard to think of many artists today who could navigate something that huge. A lot of the younger artists now might freeze up or not deliver the same level of showmanship.
