Why are woke such fanatic extremists even against the story?

in series umbrella academy, a character changed their name and "was" trans.

the woke are so fanatic, they copied the new male name, even when the episode called her name at the time. even conflicted the episode canon!

they interpreted the character was never she! according to woke agenda, as written at fandom, she was 'assigned female at birth' as if artificial... but... the word female relates to the person's sex, body.

they made her name male even when it wasn't! why are they such extreme fanatics?

even a name with a website link to the new name, which is not for every time mentioned... can still show canon name... "Vanya line victor" and CAN have a character page for both names! "vanya changed her name to victor", but...

but they only have the new male name, as if NEVER was a she!

I really don't know. I think the solution we have here in Japan and various other Asian countries is so much more reasonable than what I see happening in the West which is so divisive and extreme.

Here we don't say things like, "transwomen are women". We say, "transwomen are transwomen." We'll courteously refer to someone who presents themselves carefully as a woman as a "she", and same for transmen, but trans people here will be the first to point out that they're trans and not the same as what the new speak calls "cis".

We don't say here that men can get pregnant or that women can impregnate other women. We draw clear lines and distinctions.

Here it's also illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to get any form of hormone therapy or transsexual surgery for cosmetic reasons.

I really think Western transactivists demand way too much. There could be a much more peaceful compromise to be had here but it can't be had if people want to say a transwoman is the same as a woman or a transman is the same as a man. That's just way too radical in my perspective to expect the majority of people to accept.

Also we separate spaces by sex, not gender identity. So transwomen here are expected to go to male toilets, male showers, male prisons, participate in male sports, and same for transmen: they go to female toilets/showers/prisons/sports. We do not blur sex and gender identity together to distinguish these spaces.

about minor, i agree before 18 must stop such decisions because too young. in u. s. people complain "let a minor do it" but... they are STILL A MINOR until 18. crazy.

Those ambiguities between sex and gender identity seem like a never-ending source of trouble. And much agreed about minors! That seems like total common sense to me that children are not ready to make such radical and irreversible life-altering decisions.

It makes sense they would use the character's real name and pronouns even when referring to them in previous episodes, the same way if you were talking about a real trans person and referred to sometime before they came out, you would still use the same name and pronouns. It wouldn't make sense to say "Jim is my best friend, I've known him since highschool. Amanda was in the same English class as me and she was always tardy."

But if they're trying to make everyone use the characters real name even if they have only started watching and not gotten to that episode yet, that is definitely strange. For 1 it could be a major spoiler, and for 2 it's not something you should even do in real life. That would be like outing your friend to someone they have intentionally not yet come out to. That is not a very "woke" or logical thing to do, and the friend would probably be upset you did that.

you misunderstood, the summary of the EARLIER episode, BEFORE the change has the wrong pronoun and name. this not only doesn't match but is worse due to the concept of canon.
in your example, "he is my best friend. even before he was he, in high school, we were friends" but woke so extreme as if never was she!

not "referring to them in previous episodes" but in the episode! seems like an added character that is NOT in the episode!
worse in this series it has NUMBER "7 kids"! but due to woke agenda "8 names"! yikes.

admittedly the word he is for "male" in dictionary and language and male is the term for a person's sex body so pronoun cannot change until sex surgery. and i don't mean breast removal of ellen page. not enough change.

I'm sorry, I'm definitely having trouble understanding the situation. If I start watching the show, and I watch it chronologically, will the first time I see that character referred to with new name and pronouns be when that character comes out in the episode and says it himself? Or will I see it before that happens, and not know why or who that name is referring to until that character confirms it is him in a later episode?
