Do you love movies and have seen a lot of them from silent films to the newest releases?

I would say a bit less than average, but that's because my genres weren't very diverse for most of my life and I have a bad memory for timelines and names. I've watched plenty of older movies and plenty of new ones, but there's some big gaps and I only have a general idea of the timelines and actors.
I have what I think is a relatively broad spectrum of movie knowledge. The question is, do I know as much as I would like to think? I can't really answer that as I've never tested it!
The one thing I would add is, Some movies everyone would expect me to have seen, I haven't, and I actually prefer a lot of the movies from before I was born to those being made now!
Thank you for MHO
I'm a movie lover and critic, love going in depth with my appreciation of certain flicks. Especially for Joker, The Breakfast Club and The Shining. Suchhhh good films
I consider myself more knowledgeable and experienced than the average movie lover.

I was really into it about a decade ago, but most newer stuff does nothing for me. I still watch Safety Last and Battleship Potemkin about once per year each, and have to watch Laurel and Hardy's Babes in Toyland / March of the Wooden Soldiers at Christmas.
We used to play "6 degrees of Kevin Bacon" whenever we had downtime at work. I wouldn't call myself a movie buff but most people I work with I think would. Because no one could beat me.
I love a lot of classic older movies. These days, I might see one good movie a year.
Yes, but I am selective. I don’t waste my time with the hundredth iteration of Rocky, Pirates of the Caribbean or Fast & Furious.
I like them if they’re high-quality movies, not B movies
I love me some B horror slasher flicks! Guilty pleasure of mine
I've never been a movie buff, and with today's cruddy remakes and Marvel and other comic book-inspired movies, even less in 2024.
i know many fantasy ones but that is probably less than 1% of fantasy films.
I gave not seem nant movies that were made before 1980. Wizard of Oz, 2001, Gone with the wind, and the Clint Eastwood westerns.
I like to watch films, but I am not into all the hype and gossip that I hear here in Hollywood.
I don't know about all the way back to silent films but I like movies starting around the James Cagney and Gary cooper era
I know a lot of movies from the 60s and 70s.
I'm not
