Some cheesy time travel movie from the late `60's starring Abraham Sofaer.
He's a scientist and his crew build a craft that travels in time. They're just about to head off on their first long trip into the future when the rich guy paying for their research shows up and demands to go along with them. They end up going 600 years into the future and there's a war going on between us and some friendly peace loving aliens that have visited us The war reaches its peak a very short time later so, they get back into the craft and try to go back to the present but, they spot something heading right for them. They try to send a message saying they can't change their course and hope the other vehicle can to avoid a collision. So, moneybags decides to shoot it with a laser which screws up their craft and sends them back a few million years. On the way back, they can view what time they're in by the screen in the capsule. Only thing is, every time they pass through shows nothing but wars!
Once they get to the past, moneybags decides to leave the craft on his own and explore! The Dr. decides to go after him. Then the 2nd in charge goes after both of them. Then the 3rd goes after all 3 of them leaving the craft empty! While trudging around, the Dr. falls into a lava pit and then money bags heads back to the craft alone and decides to take off on his own leaving the other two behind. On his way to the present, he runs into that mysterious craft that nearly hit them on the way back only to find it's them coming back from the future! That means that, on the way to the past, he killed himself with that laser beam!!
Somehow, the other two discover the craft is still there so, they get in and go back to the present only to find they've undershot about 2 days. They can't be where they are in the past so, they try to go back to the present but float off into space not knowing where they're going!
On second thought, the last movie I saw was, "Surf II"! A great comedy from 1983! One of my faves! The third part of the trilogy of which there is no first part!

Last movie I watched was called "The Wrong Todd". Kind of dumb. Not badly made, just dumb. I wouldn't recommend it.

Forgot how much I related to this scene. The Gen X high school scene was MUCH different than whatever is going on here. Environmentalists are the cool kids, holy smokes, I can’t even imagine a dynamic like that😂😂😂
