When I worked at Papa John's as a delivery driver 5 years ago, there was a computer in between the front and back of the store.
At some point, someone brought speakers in and played music. Music that was similar to the awful music I heard when i went to nightclubs, to help face my fear of big social situations.
One of the most common ones is "Get low", and boy oh boy, is it horrible. One I liked is "Tainted love" and "What I like about you". I remember those songs very well, as I went to the dance floor and gave it my all, in front of everyone. And people cheered😊
But "Get low", oh boy, that song is just absolutely horrible. I made a joke with it, with the lyrics when they say "To the window! To the wall! Til the sweat drops down on my balls!"
I sing "To the window, to the wall! I'm gonna burn this whole place to the ground!".
One time, when I was putting boxes together in the back, "Get low" was playing, and I could take it no longer. I changed it to "Pretty Fly, for a white guy" by The Offspring.
At first, everyone was confused, as they evidently haven't heard the song before, but they quickly started dancing to it, and laughing to the lyrics.
In the scene in the video where the girls throw him in the pool, everyone saw it and laughed hard at the video. It seems that my decision worked out rather well for them😊
I’ve never worked anywhere where I can listen to music throughout the day, or at least my own music. That seems like a privilege, to be able to listen to your own music at work lol.
I've always hated when people play their music. Not everyone liked your music and wants to listen to it for several hours. I wouldn't do that to other people.
