Films. I sit in one spot for about an hour and a half, and when it's over it's over. Story complete, The End. TV shows just drag on, and often "jump the shark" because the writers can't come up with anything new, and then they just borrow ideas from others in the hope no one will notice.
ever watch a tv show where the one writer writes it over and over till you can eventually predict what happens?
They are both awful these days.
Yup remember the good old days of Die Hard and Predator in the cinema and beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction on tv. Thats history now. Alex Garland makes excellent stuff though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoQuVnKhxaM&t=2s

I prefer TV shows, in particular, those that contain a series of episodes, like HIMYM or TBBT. My attention span is not that long, and I sometimes find it difficult to sit through a 2-hour movie, but I have no problem sitting through a 30-45 minute TV show episode.
you don't use initials unless you already spelt the word. People don't know what those initials are.
Some stuff only work in shows others in movies.
When a story requires you to "live with the characters" a show great. Many hours to flesh out a story.
When a story is a succession of events that convey the message without lingering too much. A movie works best.
Of course there are bad movies and bad shows because it's not all about the story.
And of course, woke agendas swiftly destroy any work of art
TV shows just because if it's really good, it lasts seasons vs 2 hours.
I think each have there place and can be done really well providing they actually put the time and effort into creating them. It's even more important when they come from a book/game base as failing to stay true to the base of it often just ruins the film/TV show. I also think there are times they get it wrong where it should have been a TV series and not a movie really.
So for me I guess it's more about the quality over the format it's provided in.
I like movies the best if they’re good high-quality. My favorite TV show is all in the family from the past. They won’t ever ever have something like that again
I think they are too expensive (both to go see and make). However a good one is unforgettable.
Alex Garland is the only man making good movies these days. He is ingenious. Everything else is action and comedy with no purpose. Just junk.
I enjoy going to movies, but if watching more casually at home, I prefer TV shows.
Movies. I am not in Marvel and dc. They are not cinematic in any way. They seem like TV show.
I prefer narrative features made by aeturs.
Both in all honesty im very hyperactive so i am rarely focused unless the movie or series intrigues me.
