If contestants want to comply and risk arrest, ridicule, and exposure (or all three) fine by me.

Nudity is overrated.

I doubt it'd be acceptable. The entire challenge is to face the elements without the help of material items, outside of the few objects you and your partner have together that were chosen from the start.
Nobody on the show has ever worn clothing. With it being "NAKED and afraid" I doubt any article of clothing is allotted.
The requirement for the show, to be a participant you must follow the shows guidelines re: NO clothing, no food, no water.
Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to participate in the series if you are not fully naked, just by show regulations you would be pulled off.
One of the ideas is to be superior to your fully nude associate, and the other fully nude contestants (especially the ones who enjoy their nakedness), and to flip off the producers and crew..
How about being naked INITIALLY, but sneak clothes into the journey and dress up at some point?
The actual survival stuff is fun and simple. It's the nakedness that is a nightmare.
Whatever this "Naked and Afraid" is, I don't really see why wearing clothing could remotely be seen cheating.
I mean, is wearing clothing the opposite of attempting to cheat? One is more likely to cheat if one is not wearing anything.
I may be dense but I would think that a person that wears clothing is a little more decent than someone that does not, unless of course that person is alone at home with no one being able to look inside and steal a glance of that naked person.
It is for that exact reason I would never walk naked at home and I also feel secure in my place.
Of course if you are naked and let everyone see you, you might get scared if the occasional pervert or voyeur starts acting on your nudity. Bu then, you would be at fault for provoking people.
Listen, I'm no fan of nudity (as in at all), I even shower in my underwear.
I'm just asking if a contestant could break the rules by being fully or partially clothed.
Yeah, I'm a devote Christian and a prude.
my reply was not intended to hurt anyone's feelings or beliefs. I just don't know what this "Naked and Afraid" is and my answer is based on how I feel about that topic.
Clothes are not allowed from the star t, but contestants can manufacture clothes during the contest.
How about being naked INITIALLY then sneak in your clothes and put them back on at some point?
Not allowed, they are dropped off completely naked.
So disqualification!
Disqualification?
Try watching the show.
