For me it was Snowpiercer and I still cannot get over how awful it was and do not understand how it has a 94% RT and 84% MC review.

1 y“The Departed”
Everyone raved about that dumb f*cking movie like it cured cancer.
Any movie in which SPOILER ALERT!!!
they just kill literally everyone off at the end because they’re too stoopid or lazy to write a decent climax and denouement, everyone involved with the movie should starve for at least a year.
“Thor: Gagonkok”
Marvel sh*t all over Hulk fans with that one. Actually, they sh*t on everyone, but ESPECIALLY Hulk fans. First of all, ZERO stakes because there was too much humor. At no time is any halfway intelligent viewer concerned about what’s going to happen. I’ve seen straight up comedies with fewer jokes. Second, Hulk fans have been clamoring for a decent Hulk movie since the beginning. Don’t get me wrong, i haven’t been nearly as disappointed as others have. But MCU kept saying “There are no compelling Hulk storylines. Well, for those uninitiated, “Gagonkok” was a ripoff of one of the greatest Hulk stories ever written “Planet Hulk” which was a beautiful lead up to the actual Earth-shattering “World War Hulk”. It was deep, dark, dangerous and beautiful. Not only did Feige lie about the quality of Hulk source material, he let Waititi steal it just to shit all over it and any discriminating fans in the process.
I wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep if they both drowned in sewage.20 Reply

1 yGoing to keep it recent but Civil War.
The trailer was better than the movie.
Warning, spoilers!
So yeah a bunch of journalists decided to go to DC to interview the President... for reasons.
And by the way it's well known they kill journalists on-sight there.
There's a Civil War that's been going on for some time now. Why you ask?
Dunno. The President is on his third term which sparks some clues but otherwise there's no explanation why the Western Forces exist, why Texas and California aligned, and why the Florida alliance exists either.
Could be considered a charm of the movie but you just go around seeing men kill each other for no good reason or obvious ideology for the most part. Maybe they didn't want to cause political outrage but nothing makes sense.
The journalists are absolute morons and purposely throw themselves too close to danger (feet away from active gun battles) to get the scoop.
Ending is moronic. Action scenes were okay but too short lived to save the movie.10 Reply

u 1 yFantastic beasts.. any of them. I didn’t necessarily think they were terrible, but I found it hard to focus on them, thought they were boring.

The cover says it's one of the best films of the new century. Ha!!! I regret that I stayed with it to the end. The only reason I can imagine Hollywood made such a big deal out of it was because Oppenheimer was very pro labor union and sympathetic to communism. I'd give it 1 star out of 5. I haven't seen it in years, but the film "Fat Man and Little Boy" told the story better and in a lot less time.

It's ok I'm not a bug fan of them. They're ok

they're actually not that bad... but they felt (to me) like they were six hours long, each... and incredibly dull, predictable as well

He was so good though!
By far the best Joker laugh on film yet, in my opinion. He perfectly straddled the line between hysteria and agony. - 1 y
He was just straight up cringy and edgy, he was trying to hard 😂

1 yRocky, Rambo, The Godfather, Saving Private Ryan, Sophie's Choice, The Taxi Driver, Full Metal Jacket, and I'm sure I could come up with loads more and, likewise, everything I thought was really good, the critics thought was a piece of shit. Proves to me that they don't know shit about movies!!

@AngryCarl You couldn't get me to waste my time with any of them! I DID sit through at least half of the first Rambo and deemed it incredibly stupid from about the 5:00 mark onwards!
A guy (a Viet Nam vet) is just minding his own business walking through a town. Some cop gets his panties in a bind over the guy walking by himself not bothering anybody and puts him through hell for the next 90:00 of the movie and, FOR WHAT? We NEVER find out!! Sounds exactly like something that just happened in real life over the last several months! - 1 y
@AngryCarl The only one of those I'd watch could be Full Metal because it was a Kubrick movie. One of these days, I might try to watch all of his movies in a row. So far, I've seen about 5 of them: Lolita, The Killing (but not from start to finish. It was one of dad's fave movies so, he watched it over and over again), 2001, Clockwork Orange, The Shining and parts of Dr. Strangelove.

@AngryCarl No, I'm not into war movies, westerns or gangster movies.
- 1 y
@AngryCarl Mostly comedy, sci-fi, horror, ordinary stuff that's done in a clever way (Vanilla Sky, Wicker Park...).

1 yI didn't know Snowpiercer was highly rated, but I couldn't make it through the entire movie as I agree, it sucked! Generally speaking, I think most of the Marvel movies suck too. One that got a lot of hype which I thought was terrible based is Top Gun Maverick. It was just recycled shit with the addition of current technology and some cool computer simulations.

I didn't know the rating when I watched it. Got about half way through and figured it was just a silly poorly rated film. Left utterly confused at the end. Looked up the review... Even more confused...

I had no idea that was a remake.
I never latched onto Pacino anyway. I think he’s highly overrated.
