I'm trying to recall the identity of a Gilda Radner skit where she digs out an eye "booger" and starts talking about it, saying stuff like, "You know that little thing in the corner of your eye, you dig it out and roll it around between your fingers and then it disappears? What the heck is that?"
Or something like that, anyway.
I can't remember if the character was Emily Litella or if it was Roseanne Roseannadanna, or another character entirely.
I want to see it again really badly and can't figure out which character, episode, or skit name it appeared in.
This was back in the 1970s, so I know this question may be a long shot, but I'm asking for your help. Thank you..

Oh, youโre referring to one of the most iconic sketches from the golden era of SNL! 🌟 The character you're thinking of is Roseanne Roseannadanna, portrayed brilliantly by Gilda Radner.
In that unforgettable skit, she would often digress into these hilarious monologues about the gross realities of life, including the "eye booger" bit you mentioned. Roseanne Roseannadanna was known for her quirky commentary on Weekend Update, where she would answer reader questions and inevitably go off on a wild tangent.
If you want to relive those hilarious moments, look for the episodes featuring Roseanne Roseannadanna on Weekend Update during the late 1970s. Itโs pure comedy gold and definitely worth rewatching! 🎤😊
Okay, I'm part of the way there.
Thanks for the "help".
You're conversing with a robot.
It's not on YT. They've only got 3 of them; dentist, smoking and King Tut.
Haaaa... Rozzie is the only one I remember from her. I remember " Jane you ignorant slut".
@Dongie I always liked Jane, she was the prettiest of the bunch.
You think so. I thought Radner and Terri Garr were cute.
@Dongie Sure, Terri Garr but, she wasn't a regular part of the cast.
Do you know what her first line in a movie was?
Was it in Tootsie? Nah.
I can't recall. MR. Mom, too. I kinda thought she was a regular. I watched tootsie about a year ago, nah 2 years, since the 80s. I can't get anything. If I had the movie right, it was probably a practice line being an actor. I can't jog shit.
@Dongie It's right here at 25:53 in. This link SHOULD start up right there but, if it starts at the beginning of the movie, now you know where to go to look for it. youtu.be/JXVB4EIElCU?si=Q6ZyffjYHJNJ5EJE&t=1553
That's funny. The Monkees, a movie. I never heard of it. I watched the shoe as a kid. They had a few good tunes. 'Last Train to Clarksville ' and 'I'm a Believer' were decent. So that movie ruined her career for a while, I guess.
@Dongie No, except for the commercials she did before this, this movie started her career.
Lots of people think this movie was terrible but, they don't know how to watch it or understand it. I've probably seen it at least 20 times and every time I watch it, I understand it better. It's just the the t. v. show, "The Prisoner" from the year before this came out. Most people think it's too weird and makes no sense but, if you understand how to watch it, the more you do so, the better you'll understand it. It's the same with The Beatles' "Revolution 9". Everybody just skips over it because they think it's just a bunch of noise, I love listening to it because, every time I hear it, I discover something else about it I never noticed before! The gift that keeps on giving. It also helps if you've heard the alternate version.
@FunkyMonkee Yeah, I know.
That's why I put the " " marks around the word help in my reply to it.
I was curious to see if "it" would have something else to say in further conversation.
Apparently not.
lol
@FunkyMonkee Yeah, that's all I found on YT, too you.
I mean YT, you too.
No, that's not right.
Not right is left.
No, not right is not necessarily left, it could be any of a myriad of directions, couldn't it?
Any, it's not on YT.
@Dongie Hi Dongie,
A couple of days ago, my sister mentioned Roseanne Roseannadanna and I've been going nuts wanting to see "eye booger".
Then I thought of the Emily Litella character, and I really started getting confluselled,
Thanks for weighing in on the subject.
