The opening theme to the fifth season of Babylon 5- and funny you should ask; I FINALLY found a way to show it off!
One of the things that made B5 unique was that the story ran for only five seasons, and the creator (and author of more than 100 of the show's 110 episode scripts) INSISTED as a condition of making the show that it go no longer- if it got canceled earlier, that was too bad, but under no condition would it go on longer. He didn't plan, however, for the network collapsing, so much of what WOULD have been in season 5 got pushed to season 4, to wrap the story up- and then TNT bought the show, and gave them a fifth season, so he had to extend what he had. THEN the only copy of the notes he'd made for how to do that got thrown away by a hotel maid. So, unsurprisingly, season 5 is the weakest of them, but it's nowhere NEAR as bad as it should be, given all that.
The show also had excellent music- to the point that I, who usually don't even notice such things, went out and bought a few of the episode soundtrack discs, since it's THAT compelling. And some of the best music was in the intros, which varied each season, and had a voiceover giving a brief description of what was going on in the galaxy at that time (as each season runs over the course of a year). Naturally, that didn't work for season 5, since all the plans had been shot to hell. So instead, it was a series of quotes from the previous seasons, going over (loosely) all that had already happened; a kind of "here's how we got here". But the music itself is pretty pounding, too, and it's the kind of show you DON'T want to spoil- and few people will commit the nearly 100 hours to see it all through on a whim. I finally found an instrumental version, though, and here it is: https://musicofbabylon5.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Season-5-Main-Titles.mp3

Difficult... I play a particular song until I am fed up with it. I mainly listen to Ska and Reggae but I usually just put on a 'Mix' or 'Best of' on.

There's something magical about "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley. Every time I listen to it, I can't help but get lost in its haunting melody and Buckley's emotive voice. It feels like a perfect blend of sorrow and beauty. Whether I'm sketching in my cozy art corner or traveling to an art festival, this song finds a way to resonate deeply with me. 🎶💙 Do you have a favorite song that touches your soul?
