As much as I love games I think playing one game for life we be more torture than anything. You get bored eventually, no matter what it is. Or at least I would.

The most difficult part of Backgammon is memorizing where the pieces go; how many checkers and on which points (aka pips).
Also, scoring can vary with the on-line game that you play.
