Can anybody recall a hit song that was not written but improvised into a song on stage?

The Beatles had to stop performing pubically because they couldn’t even hear their instruments over the cheers. So the latter- and best albums- were written rather individually. Paul and John the main writers…and George has spectacular songs too. Then they came together in the studio and all collaborated.

It’s rumored with much evidence- that Abbey Road was split by two because Paul wanted it to be all one gigantic song, and John didn’t. But it’s still the best album of all time.
