I would say yes. The Weekend is young and still alive. He seems more popular with young people. Most people who listen to him probably weren't around when Michael was making music, and it's a matter of what you're raised on. I was fortunate enough to be raised on classic rock. Surely if these kids were raised on Michael Jackson, they would prefer Michael.

In terms of singing, I would give the slight edge to the Weeknd... Only slight because Michael had a unique voice.. He had a strong rock singer voice, that he used for pop..
