If you were duck-taped to a chair like in the movies, do you think you could get out?

In the movies when the bad guy captures the hero (or heroine) they often seem to get tied up with duck tape, often in a chair. It always looks like it would be really easy to break out of with a bit of effort, but the hero usually ends up having to be rescued.

Does anyone else think they'd be able to break free from this or is it just me? Has anyone ever tried it to see if they could get free?

You do realize it is actually "duct" tape? But to answer your question, I don't know. I would like to think I could, but it is probably harder than one would think.

There has been a trick around for a while. See it in tv shows and the like.

I can see how that works if your hands are in front of you but if they're behind or attached to the chair it might be more difficult. I still think I could find a way out though.
