in my opinion, most of Rihanna's music is not great - her best songs are collaborations where the other artist has control of the music. She's a good singer, but her musical direction is poor. I've never understood why she hasn't incorporated a more Latin/island sound into her music. She could be making the hottest dance tracks, and her being from Barbados, she should have plenty of influence from those styles.

To me, her best song is We Found Love - but that's in huge part to Calvin Harris's music. Her songs with Eminem have all been good. And there's a few of her own songs that are decent, but purely from a music point of view, she's overrated. I really think she's squandering her potential with more island-sounding dance music.

I think Rhianna has been working since she was 15 over 20 years, she tired and maybe don't currently got any real hits to release. You see that with popstars when they start getting into their mid 30s it becomes more and more difficult to sell their music. You see that with kesha, Katy perry etc. Beyonce 's career is starting to wane and they are setting blue ivy up to take over soon but Beyonce is too over saturated in the media, she needs to take a break for 3 years and come back with new material.
