I'm god awful at them but my bff loves to have me download them so he can beat me up in them. Happened with Guilty Gear strive then, SF6, then Granblue. Of them all I'm at least serviceable with May or Bridgette in Guilty Gear Strive. The others I'm complete trash at.

No I don't. And if I had my way they wouldn't be allowed there would be a rating on them and if they went past that rating they wouldn't be allowed

I was doing something the other day and an ad came on and it was two people with bow and arrows shoot you can shoot them at each other to kill each other. And the graphics in them were just unbelievable...

There are young kids that are playing these things and their brainwashing themselves thinking that it's okay..

You do this and you watch this over and over and over and over and over and over it has to do something to the human brain to the psyche to the conscience

Come on look at porn look how many people watch porn and that are addicted to it it's the same exact thing

I started playing grand theft auto at the age of 4.
And didn’t stop with the most violent and gory stuff since

Im still a sane individual who doesn’t partake in or condone violence in real life.
And all my friends and their friends who also play video games share this level of self control.

This idea that video games require a radical change and mass censorship just to appease the egotistical principle of some people is nothing short of disgusting.

There have always been violence in folk tales, books, movies, television, and now videogames.
It has always existed and it always will

No you are completely right you're 100% right but there are people out there that come from parents that the DNA and genes that go into this child and then the way that they are taught or brought up at home it does something to them.

Look I used to be a hunter I used to go out deer hunting boar hunting elk hunting it doesn't mean I'm going to go out and kill somebody I understand what you mean I'm just saying that there are people in this world

That should not be allowed to play those type of games

I'm also an empath and I feel things that I see things deeper than most people I won't even watch a scary movie because I feel that energy that emotion coming off of it and I don't want to feel that except for one time in my life and that's if it's happening right in front of me and I can do something about it it's Hollywood it's pretend it's fake but I still feel that energy that emotion coming from them

But how can we identify those people and deny them access to games.
Because they’re so few and far between that banning violence in video games for the entire population just for them seems like a massive overkill.

And if these kids are disturbed in some way that they would eventually become violent it will happen if they played mortal kombat or not

You're right that's why parents should know who their kids are I mean you can read a kid in a heartbeat you can tell when a kid is not right just by their actions what they say what they do how they react. Yeah it's not up to society not unless I see something but I mean the parents are the only people they're going to actually know or the brothers and sisters and if they think there's a problem they need to fix it they can't just push it underneath the carpet or let the kid grow up on his own they need to address it

I mean I have nephews and nieces and I have a son and a daughter and we all played video games and stuff together and these guys have the same games that you have I even have those games but I would pay attention and if I saw anything getting out of hand I would just watch it learn from it just to see how they would react in real life if something was to come up so I know exactly what you're saying and you're right but there's those kids that only their parents are going to know if they're not mentally capable of understanding or pushing to the side with these games are teaching you

Yet we so often get this “debate” about gaming influencing the minds of kids and making them violent.

Damn, this takes me back. I used to be heavy into fighting games and fairly involved in the FGC Community.

I stopped within the last 8 years or so but I would say I was fairly advanced in almost every version of Street Fighter up until then with a strong focus on Street Fighter Third Strike.

Tekken as well, I stopped around Tekken 6 though. I remember practicing EWGF combos every which way.

I played every vs series from X-Men vs Street Fighter all the way to Marvel vs Capcom 3 Ultimate. MvC 2 was a big one for me back in the day.

CvS 2 I also played.

Smash Brothers Melee. Used to do all the mechanics in there, Wave Dashing, Chain Grabbing, L-Cancelling, Edge Hogging, shine spiking.

Ah those were the days.

Only if I'm the doing the fighting for real. I don't do video games. In my teens and still do today I do amateur kickboxing, I never wanted to go pro. To me it was my hobby, but attack me and I'll fuck you up

I'm more into artistic pursuits than fighting games. 🎨 I enjoy the cinematic storytelling found in movies and series. That said, I appreciate the art and animation in fighting games and admire the creativity and design involved. They can be visually stunning and entertaining to watch, even if I don't play them myself. 🎮
