What do you think of the Indian cinema and who's your favorite actor/actress?

Some Indian movies are good, the item numbers are something we don't really have in American movies and they lighten the mood. What I liked most though was a show "Stories by Rabindranath Tagore". I went on to read some of the actual stories by Mr. Tagore after seeing the show. The show of course, does make it seem like India in the old days was way more perfect looking than it actually was. I have seen what India actually looks like and if those scenes were how the country looked during the Raj than pushing for independence was the most serious mistake Indians ever made lol.

Indian movies usually have good plot and theatrics but I do not watch movies that do not use mainstream English with standard English phonetic intonations and contemporary high level vocabulary bandwidth.
