This is the result of hypersexualization. Women, regardless of who they are or what they do, are turned into sexual objects. They will always find at least 5 men who are willing to have sex with them (not the same as a relationship) and find them sexually attractive. In comparison, men are heavily desexualized and have been since the 1980’s where the rise of the queer community made it possible for gay men to assume a man trying to make himself sexy is also interested in men. In an effort to avoid having gay men hit on them, heterosexual culture have discouraged any attempts for men to make themselves sexy because it can attract men instead of women and being gay is not okay in masculine culture.
