Feed My Horror Addiction. Got any movie recommendations?

So I recently got into horror—totally not my thing before, but now I’m kinda obsessed.
I’ve already seen some of the classics like Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (big fan of Michael Myers and Leatherface, ngl😋)
I’m like a bunny when it comes to horror—scared out of my mind, but I kinda love the adrenaline rush
Now I’m in the mood for more horror movies that aren’t just random jump scares, but actually have a good story

Basically I only watch horror. So just ask me lol.

If you want a really good start, Hell House franchise. I found this golden jem a bit ago, not expecting much. Thought it was going to be bad... And no. It's perfect. Will say one of them is weaker then the rest and the new upcoming one sounds bad.

But I don't think a single one has made me really think they are bad. These turn out to be very effective at being scary, and have a good plot. The lore is intriguing. It does a way better job at what paranormal activity was going for. Though paranormal activity 2 is amazing I don't know why just is. The rest eh not so much maybe 4 but that's mostly me liking the girl ngl.

Anyway hell house franchise is for sure a must watch.

Hell house is on the deep end even I find it effective with it's scare factor I guess but it's story is grasping and way it's done.

It's about a so called haunted house which is infamous for been so, been in a found footage style a crew goes there to make a horror themed attraction scare house set up there.
And things go... Very wrong on the night of the show. And it does a very good job at showing little as it can to make your mind do the work of what possibly happened.

That's the first film. The franchise it's self is focused around this house of course apart from the last origins which was the most recent one for whatever reason. The film don't make much sense but is alright I guess.

As the films go on you start to get more an idea of what happened and why. Hh3 straight up tells you which you could say ruins it but by this point, you should get it. Plus there is still some remaining questions for sure.

Will say too the puppet clown dude in it.. Is damn. I am not scared of such things but... I tell you if I saw this one anywhere for any reason I would get out.
It's a really good mascot, that I think does hinder it self by needing to be in all the films I think more limited use would be better. But the way they use him in the films is effectively scary.

Haha any excuse to talk about horror and Hell house I am going to give a long answer.

Hopefully it will surprise you. I am into pretty much all horror though I didn't expect hell house to be good, but to my surprise it's suspense totally pulled me in. And the story of the 3 first films feel like they were throughout beforehand which I love that.

Hell house I watched the 2nd film right after the first because I had to, and I'm sure some don't like it but I loved it.

Video games I mostly play Fps but I play a handful of many types, life is strange is a great story game to Hell blade which is story and action about the Nordic gods, to well boarderlands.
Mostly play Overwatch, Valorant and Hearthstone, marvel rivals though as daily games.

As to books... Umm where do I start? I've probably got about 200 maybe more. And most of them I need to read. If you include comics and manga... More.
The book thief or The Exorcist are my favourite ones. I'm currently reading about 7 books so yeah...
Oh yeah and favourite Manga has to be Tokyo Ghoul ofc. Comic Walking Dead.

oh nice, I used to play lol, val and fortnite
now I play the metro series, csgo, dbd, played firewatch, the forest, the walking dead etc
and for reading, I have a few manga pieces (fav is monster; I love seinen) and for books, the criminal type

I try to play Lol but I suck. So I just play bots don't help it made my account on American servers when I am in England.
But I don't want to use a EU account as that does not have my Arcane skins on it that I got... And now some other skins.

Metro is so good ngl, completed one of them the others I played a bit of each. Will complete them all one day.
Fire watch was good too. The walking dead telltale ones are amazing Clem is such a perfect character.

Monster is damn good though won't lie I've only watched the anime for a couple episodes enough to make me get how good it is.
Will watch all one day. Dunno about reading the manga tho probably won't got a lot to go through.

metro was my first story game ever, the first time I played it, I kept dying, so I gave up but after 1 year, I came back and finished it
monster is very good, it might be bit boring in the beginning but it's worth it

Yeah 91 days is good, just watching some other things for now but I do have these in my list already.

There is so much to watch, game and read hard to get through it all done a lot though.

Gwen is thy best! Horror movies for the win.

I don't know if you'll be into horror movies that aren't scary ya know more thriller stuff, but Strange Darling a recent film is one of my favourite ones to come out so recently.
It's a about a man and woman who have a one-night stand that devolves into a cat-and-mouse game of murder.
Also it's done with chapter titles which has never been good in any film but in this film it was, it made sense to the story rather than just being done for the sake of it to look arty.

Went to see it in Cinema pretty much blind to what it was about and that's 100% the way to watch it. Without knowing much about it.

If you are a fan of this film then I have a feeling of several others you'll like.
If your more into the killers than supernatural stuff.

I watched Strange darling because the girl was from the scream TV series that is pretty good. That was all I went in on knowing beside of course a horror film.
Such a great choice.

Fun fact I've only seen one bad horror film in cinema and that's the new Strangers reboot. Just don't ever bother watching this for your own sanity.
Strangers pray at night though is alright a much later sequel to the original. And for whatever reason I didn't like the original ethier a bit dated I think.

I haven't played them but would say I am avid fan, ya know watching a certain someone and knowing all the lore to later forget then rewatch again.

You think so? My thoughts are mixed. Though as they are with most things in Fnaf none of it really makes sense anyway so the film also not doing so made sense.

The opening credits is amazing though with it been the arcade machines. That I had to rewatch over and over.

Plus we aren't even certain on time lines or what's cannon, and the film is about Afton, and he does meet the same fate he met in original game story.
