I want to add a canvas realistic or close to realistic cosmic /galaxy background as the background for this abstract piece im working on, should I abandon that idea and just go for an easier abstract background with shapes and patterns like you see and if not how do I go about creating a space themed/galaxy background on white canvas since it's easier on a black canvas, I'm afraid I'll mess the whole piece up having to create a black acrylic background.. thanks
Abstract background or realistic space themed background?
Creating a cosmic or galaxy background on a white canvas can be a rewarding challenge! You don’t need to abandon your idea; instead, embrace the unique combination. Start with layers of dark blue, purple, and black to form your galaxy base, then gradually blend lighter colors like pink, turquoise, and white to add depth and star-like elements. Layering is key, so let each layer dry before adding the next. Splatter white paint with a toothbrush for stars. It might be a little daunting, but the contrast between your abstract piece and a cosmic background will be stunning! ✨🎨
