Wow this is an excellent question. A. I. is definitely one of them, had not watched it in years until last year, and the pain was even worse at the ending that time because I lost my mom a few years ago. If you saw it then you know David wished to see his mom again, and the aliens brought her back for a short time, and when she went to sleep again David went too. One of the saddest movie endings ever.

I'll never watch it again.

Especially since I have a little sister so anything that happened to the little sister made me feel horrible and when she died it made me think of what if it was my sister and I actually cried xD
She was sleeping during this part so I was shaking her to woke her up cause I was worried for her XD

My mother made me watch it cause she had to go to work the next day mercredi and she wanted us to sleep up until 13 am cause her work forced her (if not she only worked when we were at school but her work decided to be shitty this day) so she made us watch any dessin anime she caught her hand on xD
I never rewatched it but the scene with the candy, the scene where the little sister die and the one where he die are literally graved in my mind as if I saw them yesterday.

@Maybe_Maybe_not The war did not shock me it was really just the part where the sister suffered that shocked me the most and the fact that everyone was ignoring them. The war in itself did not shock me cause I was used to watch war documentary.
It was more seeing the little sister suffering that was really traumatic to me becuase it made me think of my own sister.

Rating are very weird for sure, not long ago I watched a movie called "Tenue de soirée" avec Depardieu, Michel Blanc et Miou Miou and it was very surprising to me that they were no age rate at all, I mean it should have at least have at minium the 10 years old but they were none. I also watched this one as a child and while it did not shock me at all when rewatching it, it was kinda weird that it had no age rate becuase it's quite heavy subject.

I doubt it would to be honest you don't know the amont of show with nudity and sex scene they pass in the afternoon xD
Be it American telefilms or German police show there's tons of nudity and sex scene (even bdsm sex scene they put it on tv between 14 and 17 h etc...) some years ago they passed Rex on tv and in some episode there's nude and sex scene when my father turned to look what I looked what he was confused and when I told him embarrassed it was Rex he lifted his brow xD
But it was actually Rex chien flics it's just sometime there's full sex scene (this one was in a bath and full nudity) and yeah they pass this at 14, same things vendredi they were an American telefims were they were sex scene at 16 h 30 so literally when kids comeback from school so I'm pretty sure the whole 80s boobs in movie wouldn't be rated 12 at all xD

They also put true porn movie on tv after 23 h the amount of time I fell on it while just zapping...
